About Us

We are members of the LDPA (Unitarians in London and the South East) and members of the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches

We are a small group of people who are residents from Hertfordshire and surrounding counties.

History

This Unitarian Fellowship was established in Watford in 1947. It was the first Fellowship to be formed in the UK. We have always met in the premises of the Society of Friends, now in Church Road, Watford, WD17 4QB,

The Fellowship marked its 50th anniversary in 1997 by planting a tree in Oxhey Park, Watford.

In 2007 the Fellowship celebrated its 60th anniversary with a service and party, attended by special invitation by the Mayor of Watford, and a donation was given to her charity of the year.

Also for the 60th anniversary celebrations another tree was planted in Cassiobury Park, Watford.

This is a red oak tree which has bright red leaves in autumn, and holds on to its leaves well into winter. We are keeping an eye on its progress.
